Behind the Door Design: Calming Interior Design for the Perfect Bathroom Sanctuary
Leopoldina Morvillo, one of the interior designers from the studio Behind the Door Design, wanted to create a private sanctuary for the master bathroom of her client’s traditional Victorian house in Wandsworth, South London.
“I thought that this bathroom should be a place where they have a moment of peace and calm and a bit of luxury,” she says.
Crucial to accomplishing this calming interior design concept was adopting a neutral scheme where carefully selected organic textures for the wall tiles and flooring beautifully came together to complement the elegant warmth of ABI Interiors’ brushed brass tapware.
“I wanted to use organic textures, and that’s respected in the floor, which is tumbled bluestone from Belgian and Zellige tiles and the lime plaster, but I also like the contrast with very contemporary brass, which is why I chose ABI. It had that contemporary feel, but also that went so well with the natural shades.”
Specifically, Leopoldina chose our refined Gooseneck Wall-Mounted Swivel Spout, Milani Assembly Taps, and the Rounded Rectangle Hand Shower to accompany an indulgent freestanding bath.
An elegant marble double vanity basin is perfectly accompanied by our Milani Assembly Taps and Spout Set and Milani Hand Towel Rail, while a shower space includes our Shower Head Round and Vaada Shower Shelf — all contributing to the idyllic ambience of this space.
Resourceful Milani Heated Towel Rails and bathroom accessories like our Toilet Brush Holder complete the look of this stylish space.
“ABI was just high-end, but the perfect price and the perfect look.”
