What type of coating is used on this product, is it durable?
ABI's Heat Shield - Industrial Grade Electro Colouring System (Physical Vapour Deposition) – This is an extremely durable coating, far superior to a powder coated coating.
Can this product be used externally/outside?
ABI’s warranty does not cover external use due to the coatings being put under much harsher conditions and UV light. However the structural integrity of the rail would be fine.
